Easy, homemade laundry detergent that cant be easier to make.
It’s so satisfying to know that I am washing my clothes and my family’s clothes in fully homemade and non toxic detergent. Our skin is our biggest organ after all, so it’s just as important to keep things all natural on outside as well as the inside.
To finish off my laundry routine, I use my wool dryer balls instead of the toxic dryer sheets. I like to add a few drops of lavender essential oil onto the dryer balls for added freshness.
Grate soap by hand or by food processor. I use my food processor with the grating attachment. It gets it done super fast. I then empty the soap shavings into a big bowl, then add the borax and washing soda to the food processor with the regular s-blade. I pulse it until combined and all lumps are out. I then add back the soap shavings and add my essential oils. I then pulse the processor again until the soap shavings are cut up into even smaller pieces. Larger pieces have a harder time dissolving in the wash. I then add it to my big mason jar.
1-2 tablespoon sized scoops per wash are usually sufficient
